Relay technology

IRC relay couplers and MFR-IRCP timing relays embody a new concept of coupling relays in a 6.2 mm design. The five different relay versions optimise space requirements, installation effort, user-friendliness and functionality. The interchangeable mechanical relays or optocouplers (SSR) enable customisation to a wide range of requirements. The different coloured cross-connection combs reduce the installation effort. The basic version of the IRC is the familiar coupling relay, which can be used universally in all systems.

IRCP with integrable fuse module SM-IRC can be used in all systems like the basic version and also fulfils the unique requirement that each coupling relay output must be protected with an individual, replaceable standard 5 x 20 mm miniature fuse. The effects of overcurrents caused by line short circuits, short circuits on controlled devices, blocked AC control valves, AC contactors or motors are thus limited to the area up to the fuse. IRCPI and IRCPO offer the advantage of a cross-connectable additional connection. All three wires of a sensor in the input to the PLC or all wires of the output-side power relay or contactor can be connected directly to the coupling relay. This saves space and enables a clear, user-friendly installation. MFR-IRCP is a time function coupling module with 4 time ranges and 8 time functions and also has the innovative holder for the additional 5 x 20 mm fuse modules SM-IRC. The module has the function of a timing relay with fuse in a width of 6.2 mm. All five relay types of the IRC relay system are available with the innovative compression spring connection system (push-in) and the tried-and-tested screw connection system.
