Avoid incorrect wiring: New PPVK potential distribution terminals
The new PPVK push-in potential distribution terminals from Conta-Clip are the right solution to avoid incorrect wiring for the power supply in control cabinets – especially with large numbers of cables. They enable structured and clear power distribution in AC and DC control circuits. Thanks to the compact design of the terminals and the reduced wiring effort, users can establish the energy supply for equipment installed in control cabinets easily, efficiently and with a small footprint. The distribution terminals with extensive marking options combine several advantages. Conductors can be inserted without tools and with low mating resistance. There are cross-connection options for feed-in terminals and potential distribution terminals on both sides, allowing the permissible total current to be optimally distributed in both distribution directions; this supports a uniform current load and reduces local overloads. A built-in, insulated pusher is used to disconnect conductors. Depending on the application, users can choose between alternating or block grouping. The 6-mm² feed-in terminals are dimensioned for a rated current of 41 A and the 1.5-mm² distribution terminals for a rated current of 16 A. All insulating materials used in the series are free of pollutants and also comply with flammability class “V-0 self-extinguishing” according to UL 94. Pre-assembled potential distribution blocks including matching accessories are also available to help reduce the number of variants as well as warehousing and procurement costs. Even after commissioning, the PPVK potential distribution blocks can be expanded in modular fashion. Hygienic, blue – and up to IP66: FDA-compliant round cable entries
Conta-Clip continuously expands its KES cable entry range and places a particular emphasis on products for the food industry made of certified, hygienic material. The latest addition, the round FDA KES-R-FDA M variants in characteristic blue enable quick and space-saving feed-through of up to 68 conductors into control cabinets or machine housings. The cable entries, which consist of a robust polyamide frame with injected elastomer, have integrated locking hooks for easy installation. They are first locked into housing openings from the outside and then fixed from the inside with lock nuts. After piercing the outer membrane at a marked insertion point, users simply push cables, wires or hoses through. Tapered TPE sleeves at the back of the cable entry ensure tight sealing according to protection class IP66. The elastomer of the new KES-R-FDA M variant is FDA-compliant and meets the hygiene requirements of food approvals 1935/2004/EC and (EU) 10/2011. Featuring smooth surfaces and rounded corners, the products are suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Conta-Clip currently offers the FDA-compliant cable entries KES-R-FDA M in 15 round variants for different numbers of conductors with different diameters.

Innovative cabling concept for maximum flexibility: Modular cable entries with split frame
Conta-Clip continuously expands and improves its cable management solutions and now presents the inverted modular cable entry system KDSI-SR-G for simple and service-friendly assembly from the outside to the inside. Users can feed cables with and without connectors into control cabinets, enclosures and machines and significantly speed up assembly. The design also enables easy changes to the installation at any time. The screwless, horizontally latching frame halves made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide PA 6.6 feature dovetail profiles and thus do not have to be screwed but simply lock in place. Their double, overlapping integrated and captive TPE gasket ensures tight sealing according to protection type IP66. The black cable entry fits in standard cut-outs for 4, 10, 16 and 24-pin heavy-duty connectors. Furthermore, the 8/16 frame has a fixed partition and can be equipped with two 4-piece inlays. KDSI-SR-G fits cables with all connector sizes and allows the greatest possible variability in the order of assembly. It can either be attached directly to the housing with screws, partially assembled or pre-assembled externally for later mounting – which makes the versatile and time-saving system particularly interesting for cable assemblers as the customer-specific application decides which frame and assembly methods are used. The range of terminal blocks with push-in connection from Conta-Clip includes feed-through, protective earth, transformer, fuse, multi-level, motor connection and initiator terminals in a wide variety for conductor cross-sections from 0.25 mm² to 25 mm² as well as comprehensive accessories. The extensive portfolio boasts a number of design improvements on conventional push-in terminals and satisfies even very demanding requirements regarding ease of use and mechanical robustness. The push-in connection allows for safe, tool-less insertion of rigid wires or wires with ferrules and significantly reduces the time spent on wiring. Portfolio The feed-through and protective earth terminals of the PRK and PSL series are available in six nominal cross-section ranges: 1.5 mm², 2.5 mm², 4 mm², 6 mm², 10 mm² and 16 mm². PRK feed-through and PSL protective earth terminals have two, three or four connections and are suitable for conductor cross-sections from 0.25 mm² to 25 mm². The two-level versions PRKD and PSLD are available with the nominal cross-section ranges 2.5 mm² and 4 mm². Conta-Clip offers eight variants of PIKD three-level initiator terminals and PVMAK motor connection terminals with a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm². The integrated pusher for quickly releasing inserted wires requires only light pressure and no special tools, yet provides high contact force for the push-in spring. The push-in spring for the conductor connection is held securely by the busbar. Accidental insertion of conductors in the wrong channel is ruled out by the clear separation of insertion channels and pushers, thus ensuring correct connection and reliable contacting. The completely new internal layout with large contact surfaces and fixed metal parts ensures high current-carrying capacity with low temperature rise, mechanical robustness and an absolutely secure fit of the compact terminals on the mounting rail. All potentials have a test point for easy measurement. In detail The protective earth terminals have screwless clip-on foot contacts on both sides to ensure maximum electrical and mechanical reliability. In addition, Conta-Clip offers the plug-in cross-connection system PQI for quick and convenient potential distribution. In the case of the standard terminals with nominal cross-sections between 1.5 mm² and 10 mm², two potentials can also be routed within the two cross-connection channels. The group 1 insulating materials are all made of polyamide PA 6.6 and free of harmful substances such as halogen or phosphorus. They meet the fire classification “V-0 self-extinguishing” according to UL 94, have a tracking resistance above CTI 600 and are temperature-resistant from -40 °C to 120 °C. There are three marking options per terminal, allowing for clear labeling with various marking systems.
