Quick, simple and reliable – the tool-less PRK push-in connection system not only saves time in control cabinet wiring, but also enables high packing density thanks to two-, three- and four-wire versions. But enough is never enough, and Conta-Clip has recently expanded its range of feed-through and protective earth terminals, adding PRK 16 and PSL 16 variants to meet the demand. The terminals make wiring comfortable, featuring enlarged insertion channels that point upwards. While contacting requires minimal mating force, connections withstand strong vibrations and shocks. Clamping points are worked via insulated pushers. Push-in terminal blocks Conta-Clip’s terminal block ranges with push-in connection include various kinds of feed-through, protective earth conductor, disconnect, fuse, multi-level, installation and initiator terminals for conductor cross sections from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm². The comprehensive PRK range offers various design improvements compared to conventional push-in terminals and meets the highest standards of easy handling and mechanical stability. The push-in connection allows for safe, tool-less insertion of rigid wires or wires with ferrules and significantly reduces the time spent on wiring. The integrated pusher for quickly releasing inserted wires requires only light pressure and no special tools, yet provides high contact force for the push-in spring. Accidental insertion of wires in the wrong channel is largely eliminated since individual channels and pusher positions are clearly separated. The completely new internal layout with large contact surfaces and fixed metal parts ensures high current-carrying capacity with low temperature rise, mechanical robustness and an absolutely secure fit of the compact terminals on the mounting rail. All potentials have a test point for easy measurement. PRK range feed-through and PE terminals are available for six nominal cross sections from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² in versions with two-, three- and four-wire connectors suitable for wire cross sections from 0.34 mm² to 25 mm². The protective earth terminals have foot contacts on both sides to ensure maximum electrical and mechanical reliability. The range of terminal blocks with push-in connection from Conta-Clip includes feed-through, protective earth, transformer, fuse, multi-level, motor connection and initiator terminals in a wide variety for conductor cross-sections from 0.25 mm² to 25 mm² as well as comprehensive accessories. The extensive portfolio boasts a number of design improvements on conventional push-in terminals and satisfies even very demanding requirements regarding ease of use and mechanical robustness. The push-in connection allows for safe, tool-less insertion of rigid wires or wires with ferrules and significantly reduces the time spent on wiring. Portfolio The feed-through and protective earth terminals of the PRK and PSL series are available in six nominal cross-section ranges: 1.5 mm², 2.5 mm², 4 mm², 6 mm², 10 mm² and 16 mm². PRK feed-through and PSL protective earth terminals have two, three or four connections and are suitable for conductor cross-sections from 0.25 mm² to 25 mm². The two-level versions PRKD and PSLD are available with the nominal cross-section ranges 2.5 mm² and 4 mm². Conta-Clip offers eight variants of PIKD three-level initiator terminals and PVMAK motor connection terminals with a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm². The transformer and transformer fuse terminals of the PTKS series are available with a nominal cross-section of 4 mm². Push it! In detail The protective earth terminals have screwless clip-on foot contacts on both sides to ensure maximum electrical and mechanical reliability. In addition, Conta-Clip offers the plug-in cross-connection system PQI for quick and convenient potential distribution. In the case of the standard terminals with nominal cross-sections between 1.5 mm² and 10 mm², two potentials can also be routed within the two cross-connection channels. The group 1 insulating materials are all made of polyamide PA 6.6 and free of harmful substances such as halogen or phosphorus. They meet the fire classification “V-0 self-extinguishing” according to UL 94, have a tracking resistance above CTI 600 and are temperature-resistant from -40 °C to 120 °C. There are three marking options per terminal, allowing for clear labeling with various marking systems. Accessories Conta-Clip offers users an effective and complete terminal portfolio with a comprehensive range of accessories. Conta-Clip is continuously optimizing its portfolio and now presents the new inverted modular cable entry system KDSI-SR-G, a two-part screw frame for simple and service-friendly assembly from the outside to the inside. The system for cables with and without connectors shows high adaptability in terms of cable management for control cabinets, enclosures and machines and significantly reduces the time required for assembly. The screwless, horizontally latching frame halves made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide PA 6.6 feature dovetail profiles and thus do not have to be screwed but simply lock in place. Their double, overlapping integrated and captive TPE gasket ensures tight sealing according to protection type IP66. The black cable entry fits in standard cut-outs for 4, 10, 16 and 24-pin heavy-duty connectors. Furthermore, the 8/16 frame has a fixed partition and can be equipped with two 4-piece inlays. KDSI-SR-G is suitable for cables of all connector sizes and allows the greatest possible variability in the order of assembly. The frame can either be screwed directly to the housing or partially assembled or fully pre-assembled externally for later mounting on the housing. Customers can choose whichever frames and mounting methods best fit their particular application. The system offers maximum flexibility with optimized warehousing by using the proven modular KDS system for accessories such as inlays and sealing elements. What to do if cable management in network and control cabinets or raised floors requires effective protection against dust and drafts, but not high tightness? Conta-Clip's new KDS-BS and KDS-BC brush sealing cable entries offer the ideal solution for these requirements. The two-piece interlocking cable entries from the German manufacturer are halogen-free and silicone-free. Their brushes ensure efficient thermal insulation and create a visible barrier in openings for guiding through cables and wires with and without connectors. In addition, the black cable entries made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide PA 6.6 are an ideal buffer for edges. The versatile system has a UL 94 V-0 flammability classification and is suitable for the temperature range from -40 °C to +90 °C (static). The frames can be mounted on control cabinets before or after feeding through the conductors. KDS-BS is a screw-down frame, while KDS-BC is affixed via integrated plastic expansion rivets. The use of a certified and approved socket in electrical cabinets is crucial to ensuring the safety of people and equipment. Conta-Clip offers STD-TS/CFL/LED control cabinet sockets with screw connection and a green LED as mains voltage indicator for this purpose. As can be expected from the German manufacturer, the sockets are of course approved for use in control cabinets and comply with the relevant international standards and regulations. This ensures the reliability of electrical systems. STD-TS models are designed as combination sockets featuring a CF-type grounding outlet and an L-type Italian mating face. The combination sockets made in Europe are 45 mm wide and can be mounted directly or attached to 35 mm mounting rails (EN 60715). STD-TS/CFL/LED control cabinet sockets are available in grey (standard) or yellow (permanently live). The sockets are suitable for up to 250 V AC and 16 A. Conta-Clip’s new angled screw frames KDS-SR90 allow cables, wires and hoses to be routed into housings at a 90° angle. The cable entries fit the bending angles of typical conduits and provide effective protection against dust and deposits. KDS-SR90 allows for easy arrangement of pre-assembled and plain cables and hoses in just a few simple steps. Two angled frames in size 10/24 and 8/16 can be mounted with M5 screws on standard housing openings for KDS cable entries or heavy plug connectors. The regular inlays and sealing elements from the modular KDS series are used for arranging and sealing the conduits. The system also facilitates later changes like swapping, shortening or adding conduits. The snap-on cover can be removed quickly and easily, and the sealing elements and holding frame can be accessed without the use of tools. Assembly times are significantly reduced. Due to the high protection class IP66, fire classification V-0 “self-extinguishing” according to UL 94 as well as strain relief and sealing secured by inlays and sealing elements, KDS-SR90 meets all requirements for safe and comfortable cable management.
