GSM-PRO2 COMMUNICATION MODULES

The CONTA-SUPERVISION portal is available in web browser and App version. The Apps can be downloaded in the Google play or Apple store. The CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal synchronises via the cloud. Therefore the devices where CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal will be used require a data connection. This is also required for the GSM-PRO2 I/O communication module. Synchronisation can be set real-time or within a certain period of time. Realtime experience could be important when analogue inputs are in use for example for liquid levels, weight or temperature measurements. Either way the CONTA-SUPERVISION will synchronise each time when the upper or lower threshold level is exceed. The same is for digital inputs when flank changes from rise and falling levels.

No need to manage a GSM-PRO2 via the IoT portal or App? No worries, also without the IoT portal and App it’s possible to use the GSM-PRO2 I/O communication module. Chose a logic SMS command for yourself to control an output to switch on or off with these commands. The module is able to respond with SMS (or email) to inform the user that the action is accomplished. Outputs can be set in a way that only selected users are allowed to control. To prevent abuse.

If a machine goes in malfunctioning, then a message can be send to the maintenance engineer or team to minimize down time. The GSM-PRO2 is able to send a SMS or email or for additional attention it can do phone call to selected user(s). The GSM-PRO2 doesn’t generate any cost,  because the connection will be broken before the receiver will pick up the phone. The module has the option per input to start a message cycles and this will not stop bevor someone responds with the right “stop” command or the maximum cycles are achieved.

In case that maintenance engineer needs to decide to switch off the machine, then this is possible with the GSM-PRO2 output for non-critical processes.

In a switchgear a variety of signal are coming together. Current and voltage controlled signals, analogue and digital signals. One signal  more important than the other. If an GSM-PRO2 I/O communication module as insufficient in- and or outputs then it can be flexibly extended with extensions. These signal can be connected to the GSM-PRO2 I/O communication module and transfers these into messages when threshold values are exceeded or when raising or failing flank changes. When a faulty reading is detected or the operate switch of the machine with emergency button, then the GSM-PRO2 is able to send a message to the maintenance engineer to minimize down times.

The GSM-PRO2 I/O communication modules has 2 universal inputs and 1 digital relay output. The universal input can be set in analogue or digital mode. In digital mode the module can send e-mail or SMS messages and making phone calls by changes of a flank. In analogue mode the module can send e-mail or SMS messages and making phone calls when upper and lower threshold values exceed. The CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal/App values are shown realtime and with one finger touch a output can be operated.

Next to the universal inputs the GSM-PRO2 has a counter input. This can, for example, keep track of the number of kWh on the basis of pulses. The output relay has 2 contacts and a rated current of 10 ampere at 230V AC. The GSM-PRO2 I/O communication module uses the 4G, 3G and 2G frequency bands.

Are the in- or output of the main I/O communication module insufficient, then it’s possible to flexibly extent the main I/O communication module with extension modules to monitor and control remotely. Due to the modular systems the extension modules can be connected easily to the main module. For easy recognition each module can given an own name which is shown in all applications.

A Digital extensions modules has 4 relays outputs. Each output can be given a logical name which will be shown in all applications. Via the CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal and App it’s possible to operate an output realtime. Next to this it’s still possible to operated the output via SMS commands which can be determined by the user. The output extension offers the possibility to give feedback that the output has switched by SMS or email. In the CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal and App a message will be displayed shortly and moved than to the event list. The output can be switch on or off or has a pulse option. The digital output extension modules are available in 2 versions, 24V DC and 12V DC.

The analogue extension module has four 0V-10V DC outputs. Each output can have is own users which have allowance to operate the output. By SMS command an output can be operated in 5 pre-defined  output levels. In the CONTA-SUPERVISION IoT portal and App it’s possible operate the output infinitely within the range.
